Car Parks and Drag Queens.

I’ve recently been sorting through some files on my hard drive and came across these photos of my first photo shoot with drag queen Roxanne Redacted from back in 2021. She had initially approached me about shooting the custom-made runway outfit she had for the local drag competition, Queer Sister Smackdown, at The Sportsman Hotel.

I had an idea in my head for a fashion-style shoot that would also capture part of the city in it as well. Then I remembered the old car park parties from my younger years and thought of the perfect location, on top of the China Town Car Park. At the time, I had never shot a drag queen before, let alone discovered the joy of editing lace lines, but I was rather proud of how the photos turned out.
