It’s been ages since I went on a Slip ‘N’ Slide, actually I think the last time I went on one was before Paris Hilton was incarcerated back in 2007. However if there was a reason to get back on a Slip ‘N’ Slide other than this god forsaken heat that is absolutely destroying me in Brisbane right now, is the announcement that Slideapalooza is bringing a giant Slip ‘N’ Slide to Brisbane and it’s raising money for Tour de Cure.
Slideapalooza is a Hunter Valley-based waterslide festival that has one of the largest collection of inflatable slides in the world. This year they’ve partnered with charity Tour de Cure, and will be touring their giant waterslides around the country with ticket proceeds being donated to cancer research, with Brisbane being their first stop confirmed for November 18 and 19.
Now here is the catch. This won’t be just an ordinary Slip ‘N’ Slide. We’re talking 400 metres of high-speed, detergent-lube water-based fun that will have you sliding till your hearts content. Brace those chests to rub red raw!
Expressions of interest for the Brisbane tickets have now open, and there will be more details to come once the organisers have found an appropriate hill. Tickets will go for approximately $60. It’s time to round up your most trusted squad that you can rely on to document any humiliating incidents that may occur. What are friends for, right?
You’ve got nine months to prepare for what will be the ultimate slide of your life!
