Jay and Silent Bob strikes back…again!

Snoochie boochies! The boys are coming back!

Kevin Smith has announced that Jay and Silent Bob will be returning in a new sequel, Twenty-three years after making their grand debut in the now cult classic 1994 Clerks.

The film is being described as “a tongue-in-cheek, silly-ass satire that pokes fun at the movie business’s recent re-do obsession.” Obviously, this might mean the name that Smith has given the film may be more than just its working title

The plot will see Smith team up with Jason Mewes (Jay) once more as they attempt to block a superhero film based on their own characters, Bluntman and Chronic.

Smith is promising “an all-star cast of cameos and familiar faces” but little else has been announced. If Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back was anything to go by, this film will once more be packed with laughs, coarse language, and scenes that you wouldn’t dare let your mother watch!

No word as yet when the film is expected to hit cinemas, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who will be waiting with eager anticipation!
