Bette Midler gives the ‘Hocus Pocus’ remake nothing but shade!

If you were expecting a cameo from Bette Midler in the upcoming Hocus Pocus remake, Don’t. It’s never gonna happen.

It’s pretty clear fans of the Disney classic were left feeling all kinds of disappointment when it was announced that the flick was getting a remake rather than a sequel that so many have waited for.

If that wasn’t bad enough, none of the original cast would be returning, including director Kenny Ortega. As it turns out, it’s not just fans that have very little hope for the remake. Lead witch Winifred Sanderson, the iconic Bette Midler, doesn’t have a lot of great things to say either.

When approached by People Magazine, Midler was all shade about the upcoming project.

“I know it’s cheap,” she said. “It’s going to be cheap!”

She definitely didn’t hold back and we don’t blame her.

“I’m not sure what they’re going to do with my character,” Midler continued. “My character is very, very broad and I don’t know who they’re going to find to play that.”

When asked if she would consider taking part in the remake to give the film some credibility, she was nothing but blunt with her reply, “No, no, no!”

There we have it. Maybe Disney should just give us the sequel that fans want!
