Remember when Pokemon Go took the world by storm? After I got my first Pikachu, I got over it pretty fast. Though it was great to see people being active and venturing out of their homes, even if their faces were transfixed to their phone screens.
The development company behind, Pokemon Go, Niantic, is once more about to blow our minds away with a version themed by J. K. Rowling’s magical world of Harry Potter!
Little is currently known about the game so far. We do know it will be titled, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The game will see users learning spells before exploring their neighbourhoods in search of mysterious artefacts and fighting “legendary beats” with also an option to team up with others to “take down powerful enemies”.
Now you can be just like Harry!!!
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is being co-developed by Warner Bros. Interactive and Portkey Games (yes, that’s a Potter reference!), Similar to Pokemon Go, it will rely heavily on augmented reality technology that lets its users wander around the real world collecting in-game items and exploring specific locations.
Being a Harry Potter fan, I seriously can’t wait for this. It looks like Harry Potter: Wizards Unite won’t be released until probably 2018, so won’t have to bring your gym shoes out of the closet just yet.
Are you excited for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite?
