Finally, the trailer ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is here!

Finally, the wait is over. The new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has hit the internet and it does not disappoint.

There’s is so much to take in with the new trailer. We get a more in-depth look at an aged and jaded Luke Skywalker training of Rey on Ahch-To, who proceeds to tell her he’s only seen power like hers once before and it didn’t scare him enough. I reckon we’d be right in assuming he’s talking about the son of Han Solo and General Leia, Kylo Ren.

We see Kylo, piloting his own nifty looking fighter, and if the editing isn’t misleading us, even hesitating before opening fire on his mother’s Resistance ship. Poe and Finn are back as well, taking on their fight against the First Order. It looks like we’ll also see a pretty epic showdown between Finn and Gwendoline Christie’s underused character from The Force Awakens, Phasma.

Chewbacca is back with a cute new sidekick, actually, there are some seriously cool looking new aliens featured in the trailer, some epic battles both in space and on the ground.

The trailer wraps up giving us a bit more of a closer glimpse of one the franchise’s biggest mysteries, Supreme Leader Snoke. First, we see him torturing Rey, and then saying to Kylo “show me my place in all this.” It looks like Snoke’s villainy might outmatch even that of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine put together.

There’s no denying, fans of the franchise are going to be in for one hell of a treat. The Force Awakens may have laid the foundation, and it looks like The Last Jedi will now continue to build on that, taking the characters of old and new into entirely new territories.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will explode onto the big screen December 15th.

Time to book those midnight screenings!
