Books on the Rail is seeking Brisbane Book Ninjas!

Books on the Rail

It was only a matter of days ago that I heard of Books on the Rail, an awesome idea that sees literature lovers leaving books on public transport in Melbourne for unsuspecting passengers to pick up read and hopefully have a more enjoyable commute. Then after reading the book, the reader is expected to pay it forward by leaving it for another passenger to find.  I love books, I  love bringing smiles to people’s faces, so combine the two and this is simply pure gold. Not to mention it’s encouraging people to put their phones down and read more.

The other day when I was posting about the new movement that is Books on the Rail, I found myself hoping the trend would eventually venture beyond Melbourne and go national, and to my surprise it seems like it is. I got this message today via Facebook.

Hi Chad,

An exciting update for you! We have just launched Books on the Rail Australia wide. So if your readers in Brisbane are interested in joining the Book Ninja movement, they can email us at hello@booksontherail.com 🙂

Thanks again for the feature!

Ali and Michelle

So if you love books and bringing unsuspecting cheer into people’s lives, then I really encourage you to email Ali and Michelle from Books on the Rail and become part of this totally awesome movement! We know pubic transport in Brisbane can suck pretty badly (especially Translink), so let’s make it a thing!

Keep up the great work guys!
