Be open to different outlets.

Last night I painted the fridge that sits on our balcony. Now some of you might wonder why. Okay, so a little while ago it was painted white, because a few of us were kinda over it being an eyesore.

As any of you who read my blog, would be aware I haven’t been in the most chipper of moods lately. So I’m sitting on my balcony last night staring at the fridge and found myself bringing out the paints.

I’ve never been a big fan of paints, I’ve always been into graphite pencils, but what you see above is the finished product. What’s the painting mean? Well I know, but I prefer to leave it to people’s own interpretation.

I have to say though, there was a huge sense of accomplishment when I had finished. Normally writing is my outlet, but alas I had been suffering the dreaded writer’s block as of late.

I guess what I’ve learnt from this little experience is, every so often you have to open yourself up to what might not be your normal outlet. You’d be surprised what you might come up with.

So I encourage you today, try something different, who knows what interesting things might turn out as a result.
