We’ve still got quite the wait until season seven of HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones grace our television screens, so any news of the upcoming season is a welcome treat. As it turns out legendary Murder She Wrote star and former teapot Angela Lansbury is reportedly in talks to star in the next season. While the chance of seeing Mrs. Potts sit on the Iron Throne is highly unlikely, we do know that right now discussions are for her to appear in two episodes of season seven.
The news of Lansbury joining the cast comes after it was announced this week that esteemed fellow British actor, Jim Broadbent had signed on for a “significant role” in the new season. Even if is only for two episodes, I couldn’t be more ecstatic to welcome the 90-year-old actress to the world of Westeros.
While the producers of Game of Thrones are keeping the role under wrap at this stage, I can only begin to wonder what role Angela Lansbury will play. However, if there’s a way for the writers to add a scene with Lansbury singing, I think I might die. Make it happen!
What kind of character would you like to see her play?
The wait for season seven is killing me!
